Send in-app messages with Segment

I’m using Segment to send events to Customer.io. How do I implement in-app messaging with Segment?

In-App Message Issue: The status of my messages are “Sent”, but the message never show up in my app.

I have the script on my web site and mobile app, and I am identifying people, but I noticed that no in-app messages I send are being received. They say “Sent” but they are not showing up. I’m struggling to understand what I’m doing wrong.

In-App Message Question: Can I track which button is clicked and do something with that data?

Push error - APNs 400 BadDeviceToken

Hello I’m trying to test sending push notifications to iOS devices directly using APNs instead. But now I’m getting an "APNs 400 BadDeviceToken" alert. What does this mean and does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hey Community, I’m now receiving an "FCM_UNAUTHENTICATED" error message for IOS devices but on android devices it's working well. I’m not very sure what I’m doing wrong here. Does anyone know how I could can resolve this issue?

I’m trying to send out push notifications messages but they don’t seem to be delivered and I get the error: FCM INVALID_TOKEN: Invalid platform or token.What does this mean and how can I fix this so I can send out push notifications?

Deeplinking in Push notification

I’ve using react native customerio-reactnative: 2.3.2 to implement push notifcations in my app.As of now, I’ve successfully implement the rich push notifcations in my system.I want to handle the deeplinking manually based on Deep link url insert from customer io panel.How can I access all those push notifcations messages payload (including deeplinking url) ?Based on the that url, I’ll be handling the navigation. ( i may need to make api request based on the url before redirecting to particular screen )How can I achieve this in my app ?

Customerio SDK needed for in-app messages?

Hi, My app is built in Flutter. Customerio doesn’t have a Flutter SDK, so I’m using Segment to trigger events, etc. and make Customerio work. Do I need to have the Customerio SDK in order to do the new in-app messages? Or can I do it with my current tech stack? Thanks, Toby

Does Customer.io support anonymous users on mobile?

Could I message anonymous users from mobile downloads? We have a ton of anonymous users who download our app but we don’t collect the information on who they are right away. Are we able to target these users w/ push notifications? Thank you!

Is it possible to have two lines in a push notification title?

I’ve seen WhatsApp and other apps can send a push notification with a two-line title (both lines in bold, and then the body). Is this possible in customer.io?

React Native SDK question - Javascript

When my app is in the background and I get a push notification, it is displaying push through the SDK, I want to have control to display a notification through javascript instead. Can I do that?

Hi, I have a Flutter app. We’re sending Push Notifications using custom payloads (Customerio doesn’t have a Flutter SDK yet, so the only way we can send push notifications is with custom payloads). Users get “firstName” attributes. I pull this attribute into push notifications using the following liquid:{% if customer.firstName != blank %}{{ customer.firstName }}{% else%}friend{%endif%}Half the time it works, but half the time it doesn’t and I’m wondering if there’s something I’m doing wrong or if this is a Customerio bug? The basic situation is this: Create new user that has a firstName value (this value is correctly showing up in the user’s Profile in Customerio) Send a test push notification to the device ID associated with this user that utilizes the above liquid Push notification arrives on the device. About half the time the firstName gets pulled correctly, but half the time the “else” value “friend” gets put in (even though the user has a firstName value) Any suggestions? Thank

All Push Notifications are not being received but Customer.io is showing they are sent

In customer.io we have several campaigns with push notifications. The reporting showed that our push notifications were sending. Nothing indicated that they were failing. However, we identified today that all our push are failing to be received by our customers.

Device token exists = has downloaded app?

We have a couple of questions on device tokens: If a device token exists, does it mean the user has the app... or just that they have had it at one point? (i.e. they could have deleted it) If device token does not exists, does that mean they have never had our app? Or are there instances where a user can have the app but not have a device token.
