Data out, via Pipelines, into Google sheets

Hi there!  I have taken advantage of the data pipelines to send data out from Customer.io to a google sheets and connect that with Power BI for analysis purposes. I was able to create actions and such and all good from there. My question and doubt now remains on this:I have noticed that some rows are being updated but incorrectly (see image below):I have columns with a whole bunch of attributes but, when a customer is updated (we use API calls), the data is replaced on, specially, email and created_at columns.  My question is if there’s a way to avoid this? I want the rows to be updated but not on the wrong columns.

Journey Webhook Headers & Documentation

Hi team,When testing Customer IO webhooks which are added to a Journey, I can see that there are two headers which are sent along with the payload:x-cio-idempotency-key x-cio-delivery-idUnfortunately I can’t find any documentation on these. Can anyone enlighten me if these are stable, and how to use them?The use case is that I am experiencing a race condition where my webhook response may take longer than the 4 second CIO timeout. This causes CIO to retry, and I need a stable way to determine if my service has already handled the request.Thanks

List Activities - Source And Application

Hey there, In dashboard, in activity log, there is information about sdk and application version used create specific activity (check the image).  I am aware that it is possible to programmatically retrieve the list of activities. But the response does not contain Source nor Application fields.Is there some other way to programmatically retrieve Source and/or Application fields?

Webhook not receiving after for push notification

 Hi everyone,I am developing a discourse feature like twitter where users post responses to challenges (a post like entity in my app) and then other users can comment, reply and like on other responses. I plan to send notifications to all users (parent thread) when user replies on a comment or likes a comment. I am using push notification for this. I am successfully able to send the push notification, but I also want that notification to be sent to my BE server via a webhook once notification is delivered successfully. I have configured the webhook on push events and the send test works just fine. Getting attributes from object without relationship

Hi Team, im trying to get attributes from object in an email but there is no relationship between the person and object, but there is one attribute which is not unique id available in person attributes which is equal to object id however since its not idenitifer i wasnt able to do relationship query but now im trying this approach. {% if objects.sf_user | object_id == '0053z00000BEggWAAT' %}{{sf_user.sf_user_first_name}}{% else %}{{sf_user.sf_user_first_name}}{% endif %}

how do I upload again the database that I deleted and that automatically the people are again in the segments they had before deleting them

Hello, what happens is that I deleted some contacts from the customer.io database, and some of these people I have to upload them again, it turns out that some of these people before deleting them were already in segments that were automatically updated, how do I upload again the database that I deleted and that automatically the people are again in the segments they had before deleting them?

Google Ads Conversions - DEVELOPER_TOKEN_PARAMETER_MISSING

I also tried emptying the Customer and Manager ID fields, but I still get the same error.Has anyone encountered this issue before or has any suggestions?

Referencing object by id in liquid and/or workflows

Hello! The docs say you cannot reference more than 10 objects of the same type with something like {{objects.online_classes}}. However, is there a way to bypass the 10 limitation using a specific attribute or the object’s id? For example, something like objects.online_classes.id=159 If not, are there any simple workarounds or plans in the future to change that limitation in the future? Then, for workflows, is it acceptable / best practice to call the Customer.io App API to get Object attributes as part of a workflow step and then use that in the workflow? Thank you!

Timeout on the API using nodejs sdk

Hello,When I send track events to customerio I have timeouts from 34.120.129.162.I would have expected a 429 too many requests or something. Is there a way to batch the request in the SDK ? On my side its pretty difficult since user are created from an api call, and batching the customerio call would need much added work.

CustomerIO does not recognize devices after migrating from version 2.x to 3.x

I’ve just updated the SDK from version 2.x to version 3.x follow this documentation https://customer.io/docs/sdk/ios/whats-new/3.x-upgrade/. But CustomerIO does not recognize devices to send messages. I checked in the board and devices section is empty. I still see some event like `Attribute Change`.Any one knows how to fix it ?Thanks

Fixing Invalid Date

Recently, I’ve seen a big uptick in the value Invalid date showing up in user records for the attribute CREATED_AT . For some of my records though, a valid date format and value appear.We send data into Customer.io via Segment.io. When we set it up, we mapped the following: traits.created_at » CREATED_AT And it worked fine until recently.I read this Customer.io FAQ that discusses how to know if the proper date format (epoch) is coming in or not, and for my recent records, it is not. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone have a solution they can offer up for me to try? Here’s a screenshot showing when users were created yet they have invalid and invalid date values.  Thank you,Mike

Cookie Data from Website to CIO

Hi,How do I get the data from the cookies on my website into customer io in the form of events, such as if a customer is on a certain webpage, or a customer buys a certain product. I understand that these can be events in CiO and that I can market based off of information like this. How do I implement it. Assume I have no development experience and that I work for a small non-profit so there is no in house developer either. I have been over and over the event documentation so I’m turning here for help connecting the data that the cookies collect from my website and how that data gets fed into CIO. Thank you very much,-Rose

Can I use the cio_id in the identify call?

We create users in Customer.io via a SPA form,which is invisible to the dataLayer. I would then like to identify these visitors when they subsequently navigate around the site, prior to them submitting a request (where we can again capture their email), as they may not do take this action.Could I use the cio_id within the identify call, rather than another ID or email address?

Best Customer Service Platform Integration?

HiIn customer service / support situations I find it very helpful to look up user/customer data in c.io to see what user attributes or events are present. C.io at the same time is not a customer service platform (I appreciate that c.io stays focused!), therefore I’m wondering what the best platforms for startups and small companies are that integrate well with c.io or best practices how to integrate. With customer service platform I mean products like Zendesk, Crisp.chat etc. And I of course checked the integration catalog on c.io already but didn’t find many options. The use cases that I would like to have covered:when user contacts customer support (creates a ticket, sends email or chat) and e.g. only provides email, data is enriched with data from c.io if data is available access to c.io profile data within a widget inside the customer service platform or set up a deep link that opens the user profile on c.io in a new tab potentially also log customer service requests to c.io (e.g.

Has anyone setup CIO SDK as a source and Facebook as a destination?

I am trying to setup integration with facebook and i cannot seem to be able to properly integrate with facebook. It has to do something with how the data is structured and its not very clear how it needs to be structured and from where its supposed to come considering i am using the cio sdk to collect it in the first place.so my goal is to properly report (send data) to fb each time a specific event happens in my mobile app.has anyone managed to accomplish this yet?

Google Tag Manager Destination not tracking auto-collected events?

We deployed the GTM Destination on our staging environment and while the actual loading of GTM is working correctly, we’re not seeing some of the auto-collected events in GTM preview mode or registered by GTM. This is an issue as many of our CIO track calls are triggered via these auto-collected interactions (link clicks, etc.) anyone have experience debugging this?

Building relationship integrations using email instead of ID as the identifier

I’m working with integrating a relationship between my people and one of my objects but I identify people by email instead of id and the relationship query always saves as identifying people by id. I’m able to switch the form to identify by email but as soon as I click save changes, it switches back to identify by id.

Data Pipelines - Customer.io generated events not showing up in source

Hi,  Just started playing with Data Pipelines. One thing I’m looking to do is get an event that is generated by a campaign in Customer.io or by manual action on used in Customer.io (for testing)  to show up in one of the sources so that I can forward it to a destination. Neither of the two Customer.io sources that I got by default. In the ‘Journey: API Action’ source I only see events that come in to customet.io through the ingest API and in ‘Journeys: Message Metrics’, I only see email delivery stats (somewhat expectedly based on the name. The docs (https://customer.io/docs/cdp/sources/semantic-events/cio-journeys/) seem to imply that it should be possible to get any event that appear in the journey stream of a user but that does not seem to be the case. Am I misreading the docs or missing something else? Thank you!

Delete default Data Pipeline - Journeys Workspace destination

Another data pipeline noob question. I see that I have a default Journeys Workspace destination in my environment. I actually don’t want the data to be forwarded to Journeys, but I don’t see a way to disable the destination. Is this destination just what Customer.io uses to get the data we are sending to customer.io (using the API or integration) to Journeys? I was thinking of disabling all action mappings as a workaround, but I’m now worried that this will disrupt event ingestion in journeys and will interfere with ongoing campaigns. Appreciate your help!

Has anyone integrated Recurly?

Background: I am exploring Recurly as a subscription management service.I am working on an onboarding campaign and I plan to build a step where the customer is sent an invoice or payment page link, and then use a “Wait Until” step that checks if they’ve paid until proceeding with the campaign. I’m having some difficulty figuring out how to get this data into customer.io though. My first choice would be to have a pay_subscription event (for the most flexibility), and if this isn’t possible use a profile attribute instead to store this info somehow. Here’s what I’ve found so farRecurly is not available as a CDP source for Segment or Rudderstack. There are webhooks for a “New Subscription” event. But as far as I can tell the payload doesn’t have a unique ID that specifies the customer so these can’t be used on their own. Best Practices for Displaying User's Last 3 Searches

Hi there,I'm currently working on enhancing the user experience for our fashion marketplace and am looking to implement a feature that displays a user’s last 3 searches. I would appreciate any insights or examples on how to effectively set this up within Customer.io.Specifically, I'm curious about how to efficient ways to track and store the last 3 searches per user.To give some more context, we capture every search request (e.g. “Nike”, “Adidas”, “Reebok”) and I’d like to, in the people attribute, save that as e.g. “Last search 1: Nike, Last search 2: Adidas etc. However, when there is a 4th search, the 1st one drops off (making it dynamic).The idea is that we can then display “your last 3 searches” in broadcasts.I would assume that you would need to update the person with each event that happens but if someone has any idea on the correct liquid to use that would be amazing.Cheers,

Dynamic Email Content

Is there a way to send dynamic blocks content in c.io?  I know there are some products out there that claim to do this and some integrate with customer.io, but trying to do this just within c.io.  By dynamic blocks - I’m referring to attributes that present the real time info when the recipient opens the message. So if attribute X was product A at 12pm and the email is sent at 12pm. User 1 who opens it at 12:30 sees product A. But at 3pm, attribute X is updated to product B so when User 2 opens the message at 4pm, they see product B.
