Push Notifications aren't sending even with token

Hi All! I’m on the start-up plan, and unforunately have been blocked for a week on launching since we can’t figure this out. Have asked the customer.io team but they remind me I’m on the free plan and don’t get help support. From my lead engineer: I am facing technical challenges while triggering the push notifications for test purposes.I cannot send push notifications even when the token used to send the push is the latest.Please check the attached video for reference.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aPT2HNR0_Gxzu2rvQ-QVxnddJqaI7gLr/view anyone have idea on how to resolve?

Flutter SDK configuration not working for iOS

We followed suit to https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/getting-started/ and https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/push-notifications/push/, and made sure that the most recent update state according to https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/update/ and https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/updates-and-troubleshooting/migrate-upgrade/ is matched, researched extensively and also used https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/updates-and-troubleshooting/troubleshooting/, but when setting up flutter’s customer.io SDK for our iOS flutter app version, no matter how many times we update pod, pod deintegrate, flutter clean, literally whatever we try since days, we always get the following error when running flutter run, after following the flutter SDK installation guide linked on customer.io: Error (Xcode): Undefined symbol: _mainError (Xcode): Linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)Could not build the application for the simulator. Is there anyone else with this issue? No device synced

I have a large number of "attempted" and "undelivered" because there is no device synced to the customer profile. I only have 3% delivery rate. What can we do to deliver better? We only send out push nofication through customer.io.

How long time does it take to get in app message to show?

Is it possible to use customer.io as a “guide” and helper to describe functions like onboarding? Now when I made a message to show in my mobile app it took more than 30 sek to get the message to show up and that is too long. So I’m wondering if it takes that long time or if it often goes direct?

What happens if a customer match many attributes?

I would like to send out nofications to users based on an attribute but I don’t want the same user to get two nofications. Is the user only getting one nofication, the first one in line from left? Just wanna make sure.

Hello Customer.io Community,I hope this post finds you well. I am currently working on implementing a notification center in my app and would like to know the best way to use Customer.io for this purpose. We previously used Firebase to trigger specific notifications, and we want to user customer.io for this in the future, for more flexibility.Our app has a notification center that displays all notifications for a user chronologically, including categorization. These notifications are probably managed through our backend, but we now want to send specific notifications to the user through mobile push notifications. The user should also have the ability to deactivate or activate certain notifications.I am looking for advice and insights from the community on the best practices for implementing this feature with Customer.io. How to display date with timezone in the right language

Hello,I managed to add the timezone as a second parameter of the date filter (but this not explained anywhere, this doc does not work, I don’t know where to find relevant doc)For example {{customer._created_in_customerio_at | date: "%H:%M %A %b %d, %Y" , "Europe/London" }}But I’m stuck to display the timezone with the %Z: "%H:%M %A %b %d, %Y %Z" (got it from this doc https://customer.io/blog/easy-date-formatting-with-liquid/) => it gets “12:50 Monday Apr 08, 2024 %Z”And I’d like to display the month and day in the users language, but did not find how. Android devices not receiving push notifications

Hello! I followed the react-native SDK integrations tutorials, in order to send rich push notifications to my react-native app. However when I add a deep link or an image to my notification template in the campaign, the android devices stop to receive the notifications. On iOS devices the notifications are being received, this problem only occurs on Android. If I remove the deep link/image from the push notification, then the Android devices start to receive the notifications again… I'm looking for help to understand what could be causing this problem...

How to update badge count for iOS using customerio-ruby

I came across this forum post. Which would indicate that customerio-ruby relays the apns dictionary to the mobile device. App badge count for push notifications on iOS

I am migrating from Expo Notifications to customer.io in my React Native app, where unread badge counts already work. I don’t see any documentation on customer.io about the badge count. Expo requires me to manually manage the count as a background task. I sent myself a test customer.io push notification, but the badge count doesn’t update. My expo background task also doesn’t seem to pick up the customer.io push notification.

How to request iOS provisional notifications in React Native?

According to the docs https://customer.io/docs/journeys/device-tokens/, the SDK supports provisional notifications.Beginning in iOS 12, you can request provisional authorization and send provisional push notifications—messages that don’t have an alert or play sounds. Our native iOS SDK supports provisional push notifications, but our other iOS-supporting SDKs do not support provisional push. Unfortunately, there is no example of how to request provisional notifications. This is possible Expo Notifications, but not in Customer IO’s React native SDK.ExpoNotifications.requestPermissionsAsync({ ios: { allowAlert: true, allowBadge: true, allowSound: true, allowProvisional: true, },});But the only options in customer.io are:CustomerIO.showPromptForPushNotifications({ ios: { sound: true, badge: true },});Looking at the code in GH, I don’t see support for provisional notifications. https://github.com/customerio/customerio-reactnative/blob/dac19e8d8c17a82682b7ae73ddfb40

Is the expo plugin rich push setup still needed?

Hello!We are new to customer.io and love it so far!Our product is an expo mobile app. We have followed the steps in the documentation regarding the setup of the expo plugin. Although we have NOT setup the rich notifications, we are still able to send push notifications with deeplinks in the custom payload. So we are wondering what exactly we would be getting from setting it up? Thanks!

Scientific notation used for numeric attribute on RN/Android

Hi. I’m using the React Native client library and I’ve noticed that an Android user has an attribute recorded against their customer.io user record like this:createdAt1.6515671E+9 I’ve exported that user’s data and in the attributes.json file it is represented like this: "createdAt": "1.6515671E+9", When I look at the same attribute for iOS users, it is correctly represented as a numeric timestamp:createdAt1702984243      Today at 11:10:43 am (GMT) and the attributes.json for that iOS user contains:"createdAt": "1702984243", This is how I call the RN library to set that attribute:CustomerIO.identify(analyticsId, { createdAt, // ... other attributes here});The `createdAt` value is always a number at this point.  Do you have any suggestions on how I can resolve this? Hi,We currently have the CustomerIO SDK setted up inside our app’s Application() class.I want to open an specific screen when receiving a custom InAppMessage with an actionName.I followed InAppMessages documentation and implemented the corresponding “InAppEventListener”.My Question here is:How can I access to the presentation module where the Activity and screens are from the Application class where the listener is?

React Native SDK frequently deleting devices

We’ve implemented the React Native SDK via Expo. The SDK seems to be adding the device correctly, but we’ve noticed it is frequently deleting and then re-adding the device again. Below is the activity from one user. When looking at the remove activity it’s not apparent why it has been removed.Any ideas on why it’s removing the device so frequently?

We are considering implementing customer.io in app messaging. We are wondering about the testing options; what are the easiest ways to ensure the messages will show up properly for all devices? Are there format suggestions/limits regarding the number of signs and resolution for images for example, that are considered tried and tested across the board??

Hi, IOS devices don’t add to People Devices. Other things on IOS works well, events are tracked.On android devices all works good :)

 Introduction Our product strives to provide seamless synchronization between our users’ mobile apps and the Customer.io platform. However, there may be instances where information about the device may not pass through the 'devices' section on our customer profiles. This tutorial covers a solution that addresses this. ProblemSome users may find that device information isn't being updated in the 'devices' section of the customer profile when notifications are enabled on the mobile app. SolutionFirstly, verify if the SDK (Software Development Kit) is being utilized and what version is in use by applying the filter 'cio_sdk_version exists'.
