Rich-text emails: unsubscribe wording in 2 languages
Hello,I'm currently using a rich-text email template in my workflow to send emails in both English and French (fr).My challenge is that the "unsubscribe" text (“I’m not interested”) at the bottom of the email is the same for both English and French versions. However, I would prefer to have different wordings for English and French-speaking recipients.Is there a way to accomplish this in CIO?Thank you,Gregory

Hello,We're implementing the in-app messages and want to use custom actions to perform a specific task when the user taps the button. That task being opening the browser inside our app, that's why using the built-in link to web page action does not work for us. Another reason is that, sometimes, we want to populate the base URL we retrieve from the message before opening it.To achieve this, we resorted to custom actions. I created a simple one where I set the action name to something we can identify within the app, like open_in_app_browser, and the action value to the desired URL, let's say https://google.com.On the app, I'm detecting the open_in_app_browser action and retrieving the URL from the action value successfully. However, the in-app message doesn't dismiss when the button is tapped, which results in the message being on top of our app always:That's not our desired behaviour, we want the message to close and do something with it when the button is tapped.Is there a way to manu

How to set a new attribute as a date and use it in a workflow
Hello,I have a couple of questions regarding attributes, and I'm hoping you can assist me:Is it possible to set an attribute as a date when I create one for a person? I'd like to create an attribute named 'Date_Time_Support_Rqst'. If #1 is possible, when setting up a workflow for a campaign, can I schedule a delay between emails based on this custom attribute? For example, sending an email 3 hours after the 'Date_Time_Support_Rqst'.Thank you :)Gregory
Customer.io in-app messages take ~15sec to appear on my website.
Hello,I’ve just implemented the in-app messages for my wordpress website. Messages appear after a user makes certain actions like pressing a button. The button click sends an event to customer.io and then through a campaign I am sending the message. The problem is that the message appears around 15 seconds after the action is performed. Is there a way to reduce this to 1-2 sec max?Possible causes of this are also appreciated.
Hey, I’m completely new here and didn’t find anything similar, any help is greatly appreciated.So, yesterday I have created the token and whitelisted my IP, i was able to retrive the data using App Api and everything worked just fine. But this morning after several successul calls I’m getting 401 Unauthorized error. Has my token already expired? Or I’ve exceed some limits? Thank you

Over the years we’ve collected a fair amount of workspaces in our C.io account and we are now ready to delete some old and unused ones. Are there any tips or best practices we should review and follow before deleting those workspaces? What are the data you’d recommend exporting and how can we do so? Setting up customer.io DNS records on Godaddy, using Gmail in parallel
Hi team! I’m having a problem getting my MX records verified.I’m a novice at all this so hopefully what I’m asking is clear.My domain is hosted on Godaddy, and I use Gmail to send emails (so I have gmail MX records set up on Godaddy).When setting up customer.io to start sending emails from my domain, I followed the instructions for domain verification that are listed here: https://customer.io/docs/journeys/authentication/#faqs, and set up everything on my Godaddy DNS settings as instructed. I added MX, SPF and DKIM records in my domain DNS settings as instructed in the video in the documentation.SPF and DKIM got verified immediately, MX hasn’t been verified in 48 hours. I checked online for similar issues but nothing came up, except for this thread:where I found that Gmail and Customer.io should be able to run in parallel, due to the fact that I am placing the required DNS records in the account-specific subdomain, not root domain. Here’s what I currently do Keynote Speaker Assistant requests technical liaison help for a gig They fill out a typeform with event and contact details I contact the production company of the event they’re speaking at and confirm and organise the appropriate gear for the client speaking A few days prior to event I update Client with details from AV companiesI want to automate the process of being the middle man between Keynote speakers and AV companies. Whether this be by having an AI that talks to the production company and organises everything itself, or another way. Event purchase - segmentation
Hi,I would like to ask about working with the event “purchase” within segmentation. I have a feeling it is not showing correct results after i save the segment. I have tried to create a segment with contacts from a specific country AND that they have performed the event “purchase”. However, when i look at several contacts and their activity I do not see any purchase event that was made, so i am not entirely sure how those contacts got into the segment.They have a last_purchase_date attribute as well as a custom attribute of last_purchase_product_name but the event itself is nowhere to be found within the contacts information.Any help would be gladly appreciated. :-)Thank you.
About the new Customer.IO Data Pipelines (CDP)
Hi all, I’m still a newb to all this, so probably a dumb question, but: Is the new Customer.IO Data Pipelines product (announcement, docs) basically a customer data platform (another CDP acronym, doh), like Segment? If not, how would you say it situates itself in the broader market? Is it confusing to anyone else to have two CDP acronyms floating around?? TOM
Best way to send custom recommendations to segment
Hi, I’m trying to automatize recommendation emails that would be sent to a segment. The recommendations (a list of urls and labels) are unique for each user, computed by my application and will be send to Customer.io though the API in order to be sent by email. I’m wondering what is the best way to do that. So far I have two ideas :Foreach user, compute recommendations, send an event with an array of urls/labels in event data, add a campaign triggered by this event and filtered by my segment, loop in the email template on event data. Foreach user, compute recommendations, update a person attribute with an array of uls/labels through the API, create a broadcast using my segment and loop on urls/labels from customer attribute, send it using the API.Both approches are similar, send custom recommendations in events or in persons updates. What do you thing about theses ? I fear the large number of API calls (~10k users), are we limited ? Is there a better way to achieve that ? Should I use

Hello,I'm looking to send WhatsApp media messages (images, videos, etc.) to my customers using the Twilio integration in Customer.io. I've successfully set up the Twilio integration for sending text messages, but I'm not sure how to include media files in the messages.Can someone please guide me on how to configure a webhook in Customer.io to send WhatsApp media messages using Twilio's API? Not Receiving In-App Messages
I am not able to receive In-App Messages on my website, I have the SDK script in the body, with the correct Site-ID key, I created a campaign and etc, I have already sent more than 100 In-App Messages but I do not receive them on the website no way... I've even tried it in another app in React, but the same way, I didn't receive it, I need some help! I saw that in the Enable In-App Messages tab, there is a key called Service Key, do I need it somewhere? I didn't see anything in the documentation about this! Thanks in advance!
How do you decide which ID option to use?

I want to add a list or a line break in an in-app message
I want to add a list or line breaks in an in app message. I tried editing the HTML to add <ul> and <li> tags and it didn’t work. Line break <br> tags didn’t work either. Is there a way to make this possible? I want to create the message in this image below.
Using in-app messages to send notifications
Hello,I am interested in implementing in-app messages that can be accessed through the notification icon 🔔 on my webapp. To make this possible, the messages would need to be received through the app before they are visible to the user. This way, we can identify when there are new messages and display a dot next to the notification icon, indicating to the user that there are messages to view next time they log in.Is this something that could be implemented?
