Add Granular content to email layout

Hi,From https://customer.io/docs/journeys/3-layouts-and-customerio/ it seems like the only way to add content to a layout is using {{content}}.However, I have an usecase where I want to insert a particular text before an image and particular text after an image. The image is part of the email layout which is static, however the contents can vary. In other words, I want to do something like this:{{content_before}}<yield to template layout>{{content_after}} How do I do this?Thanks,Mayuresh

Has anyone found a good way to rate limit API calls in campaigns? Currently I’m using a series of random cohort branches and minute interval wait times to space out batches of customer moving through the campaign.

Best way to send multiple broadcasts of same type out at same time.

I have a use case where a subset of people are divided into exclusive buckets, and they each receive a particular type of email pertaining to that bucket. This would be a periodic activity, every week or so. These buckets are user-generated therefore they’ll vary every time, and APITB was the best way to go about it, having proven successful in most other use cases.But the rate limit here is a huge bummer, as when I have a 100 buckets, I have to stagger these requests every 10 seconds for a really long time. I do not see how I’d use campaigns and segments here due to the dynamic nature of those buckets themselves, but perhaps I am missing something. Please advise on best way to go about on for this use case.

Data out, via Pipelines, into Google sheets

Hi there!  I have taken advantage of the data pipelines to send data out from Customer.io to a google sheets and connect that with Power BI for analysis purposes. I was able to create actions and such and all good from there. My question and doubt now remains on this:I have noticed that some rows are being updated but incorrectly (see image below):I have columns with a whole bunch of attributes but, when a customer is updated (we use API calls), the data is replaced on, specially, email and created_at columns.  My question is if there’s a way to avoid this? I want the rows to be updated but not on the wrong columns.

sync manually updated attributes

Hi there!in CIO we have several person attributes that are being updated manually from CIO User Interface.So we were looking for a solution on how to sync this attributes with another service we are using (Helpscout in out case).Since the attributes are being updated manually i could not find any trigger to catch when it is happening.So i decided to create a segment of people, that have at least 1 manually updated attribute. and first campaign that runs within this segment at fixed intervals once a day. since once a day sync is not an option for us, inside created campaign i send an event every 15 minutes​​​​​​​The event that is being sent every 15 minutes, fires the second campaign, that calculates a checksum based on the manual attributes values, and if at least one of the attributes has changed, sends updated attributes to helpscout via webhook. ---i would like to clarifydoes it seem like a workaround ?or there is a better way to accomplish this ?is there any Customer IO limits, tha

Journey Webhook Headers & Documentation

Hi team,When testing Customer IO webhooks which are added to a Journey, I can see that there are two headers which are sent along with the payload:x-cio-idempotency-key x-cio-delivery-idUnfortunately I can’t find any documentation on these. Can anyone enlighten me if these are stable, and how to use them?The use case is that I am experiencing a race condition where my webhook response may take longer than the 4 second CIO timeout. This causes CIO to retry, and I need a stable way to determine if my service has already handled the request.Thanks

Location-based campaigns in CIO / geo data?

Any tips or examples of the best way to store / use location-based data in campaigns? For example, “send a message to everyone near New York City”?Is the only way to pre-process data before CIO and add “New York,” “Atlanta,” “Los Angeles” etc to individual profiles?Ideally, there would be a way to set coordinates or other geo-data and then have CIO dynamically calculate distance, i.e. “within 25 miles of coordinates X, Y”.Or is there some other way you’ve seen it done in CIO?The closest thing I could find in the forums was over a year ago, so not sure if there has been any update since then.Thank you!

how to use screen view event as campaign trigger

I use segment.io as analytics instrumentation hub. It tracks all the events, screen view included.customer.io is configured as target and when I check person’s profile, screen views are in there. Sync is working.Trying to set-up campaign that is triggered by user navigating to specific screen, but I don’t see screen view in the event drop-down options.

Lead generation - identify users of existing customers versus new ones

Hi community,Currently working on ideating a B2B lead gen initiative and evaluating a seemingly challenge.We want to create LinkedIn ads that link to a lead form on our website.The ads (and form) are targeting individuals who are part of organizations that we call Brands.We need to be able to identify and mark (e.g. segment, attribute, etc) whether the individual that fills-in the form is part of an existing customer organization (i.e. Brand), or a new one/prospect.What would be the most efficient way to achieve that?Is there any chance that we could generate a dropdown list in the lead gen form of our existing Brands, that individuals can choose from? We have created a custom Object type for the different Brands, as well as we are using user attributes to store these.We have few options for lead forms, but thinking to use Webflow. Many thanks,Lefteris

Possible to send sms text messages as BCCs or loop through an array of phone numbers?

Does customer.io have functionality that allows us to either loop through an array of phone numbers passed through in an event for the to: recipient for the text blast, OR some way of “bcc texting” like email does?We are able to send out bulk announcements and updates via email via this bcc functionality, but wondering what the equivalent way to do this for sms/text messages is...

Background images in Outlook - Cio not injecting support

I’ve been building out a client’s design using the drag & drop builder and I noticed during testing that the system isn’t injecting the necessary MSO code to make background images work in Outlook.  This is perplexing considering the system is injecting the necessary code to ensure buttons can be rounded in Outlook.Am I missing something or is support just non-existent for bg images with drag & drop rows, right now?This is easy enough to build out myself in a custom module, but not ideal when the hope is to avoid any code editing by my client’s team.

Webhook not receiving after for push notification

 Hi everyone,I am developing a discourse feature like twitter where users post responses to challenges (a post like entity in my app) and then other users can comment, reply and like on other responses. I plan to send notifications to all users (parent thread) when user replies on a comment or likes a comment. I am using push notification for this. I am successfully able to send the push notification, but I also want that notification to be sent to my BE server via a webhook once notification is delivered successfully. I have configured the webhook on push events and the send test works just fine. Flutter SDK configuration not working for iOS

We followed suit to https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/getting-started/ and https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/push-notifications/push/, and made sure that the most recent update state according to https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/update/ and https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/updates-and-troubleshooting/migrate-upgrade/ is matched, researched extensively and also used https://customer.io/docs/sdk/flutter/updates-and-troubleshooting/troubleshooting/, but when setting up flutter’s customer.io SDK for our iOS flutter app version, no matter how many times we update pod, pod deintegrate, flutter clean, literally whatever we try since days, we always get the following error when running flutter run, after following the flutter SDK installation guide linked on customer.io: Error (Xcode): Undefined symbol: _mainError (Xcode): Linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)Could not build the application for the simulator. Is there anyone else with this issue? No device synced

I have a large number of "attempted" and "undelivered" because there is no device synced to the customer profile. I only have 3% delivery rate. What can we do to deliver better? We only send out push nofication through customer.io.

Dynamic master email modules

HelloIn Salesforce marketing cloud I was able to create eDM ‘master modules' that could be featured in multiple emails, like for example a disclaimer module. It makes management a lot easier as I would only need to update one unique module that would be reflected in all emails that this ‘master module’ is featured instead of updating each email template. Does customer.io have something similar to that?Many tks!

Issue with filters and date stamp

Hello,I have an issue with my “created_at” filter, indeed, all my recent contacts are qualified with “Invalid date” (cf screenshot) Does anyone know why is it happening?  Also, when I try to create a segment with a dated filter for example “created_at with a timestamp after 30 days ago”, nothing appears and my contacts aren’t added in this new segment.  Thank you in advance for your help!Eva Maekawa

What happens if a customer match many attributes?

I would like to send out nofications to users based on an attribute but I don’t want the same user to get two nofications. Is the user only getting one nofication, the first one in line from left? Just wanna make sure.
