Is it possible to use Whatsapp without Twilio?

Is it possible to use Whatsapp without utilizing Twilio’s API? I see many companies are becoming Whatsapp Business Solution Provider and not dependent on Twilio. Thanks!

 At the moment, using Twilio is the only native way to integrate with WhatsApp in your Customer.io account. 
 
 As far as directly integrating with WhatsApp, we can’t comment on how this might look like without Twilio. Even when we didn’t have an official Twilio integration, we used to showcase how to send WhatsApp messages via an API request to Twilio: https://customer.io/docs/webhooks-action/#send-a-whatsapp-message-through-twilio
 
 So while we do have the ability to send API requests via our Webhook Actions, which could trigger WhatsApp messages, we are not able to help with setting this up on your end. While you can do this via the method mentioned in the article linked above (sending WhatsApp messages via API request), there may be limitations with that approach, and you may not be able to track/link these with your Customer Support tool.
