Customerio SDK needed for in-app messages?

Hi, My app is built in Flutter. Customerio doesn’t have a Flutter SDK, so I’m using Segment to trigger events, etc. and make Customerio work. Do I need to have the Customerio SDK in order to do the new in-app messages? Or can I do it with my current tech stack? Thanks, Toby

Can i use liquid in url fields?

So I am trying to use liquid in the <a href=”{{liquid}}”> and in <img src=”{{liquid}}”.  {{liquid}} is placeholder for my example. But in the preview and debugger it says this: “%7B%7Bcustomer.recruitee_job_url%7D%7DLink should be an absolute url.Insecure” . and the images and link dont get printed when i send a ‘test’ email. Will it also not work when i publish it to production? Is there a work around?

Using in-app messages to send notifications

Hello,I am interested in implementing in-app messages that can be accessed through the notification icon 🔔 on my webapp. To make this possible, the messages would need to be received through the app before they are visible to the user. This way, we can identify when there are new messages and display a dot next to the notification icon, indicating to the user that there are messages to view next time they log in.Is this something that could be implemented? Thanks,Camille

Segment condition 'Contains +'

Hi, I’m creating a segment and want to only show emails where they contain a + sign. However, this always shows as 0, even though there are many emails which include + sign. How can I get round this / create a filter to show these? Thanks,Rupert

Anonymous id and Identify call

I would like to use Segment to push data into CIO. For anonymous user, Segment creates an anonymous id that it will associate to unknown users in CIO. So when the user is identified, what happens to that anonymous id? Is it overwritten by the new CIOid or does it stay with the user profile? Ideally I would like to create segments targeting the anonymous users. If you could, please include any caveats that I may need to consider. Thank you.

Use a 'reply-to' email adress that is not verified?

So I want to add the email of my recruitment ATS software (Recruitee) as the Reply-to email. This so that when someone replies, i can see the email in Recruitee. An example of such email is koen@bluebeach.recruitee.com.  But, I can not change my DNS to verify the domain as it’s an tool I am using.  Although that doesn’t make sense to me, as Reply-to email address is an header in the email and could be literally anything, right? Why does my domain need to be verified for that?Any work arounds?

How to restart campaign workflow upon event condition

Let’s say you have a campaign that is triggered if a customer books the time for an appointment with your staff. Hence, you have an Event like “Appointment Booked”, and that event has a UTC timestamp and a timezone of the appointment’s start.You then set a “Wait Until..” field in your workflow, which waits for example one day before the start of the appointment in UTC time according to the client’s timezone, to send a reminder e-mail about the upcoming appointment, IF the client did not perform a “Delete Appointment” event until then. The problem we’re having is: How do you handle the case of a person updating the appointment? You could add an additional IF, aside the “Delete Appointment” Event performed, sth like IF “Update Appointment” performed. But if the appointment has been updated, the customer would need to restart the campaign’s workflow. How would you properly do something like that in customer.io? Create an additional event-triggered campaign, which sends the “Appointment Bo

How can I manually add a contact into a segment?

We run a campaign in Customer.io that is triggered when a customer signs up for our app.We have a new type of user that we want to run a different campaign with, however.As of now, we need to manually identify when this new type of user signs up.My thinking is we can create a segment in customer.io for this new type of user so that we can exclude them from our main campaign. And add them to a new campaign.Is that the best way to achieve this?If so, how can I manually add an existing contact/user to a segment (so that they are excluded from campaign and added to another)?Thanks!

WPFORMS Not working

Hello, I am using wpforms and have also tried tally.so but for some reason my forms are not being catptured by customer.io i have confirmed the js snippet is on both and still not luck the form is at snnj.org under the subscribe section of the page but data is not being sent and the other form is at https://forms.snnj.org/subscribe and both forms do not send data.

conditional statements gets printed instead of the expected outcome.

So I’ve tried everything, title block, text block & html blocks. Re-checked my liquid too!  The code that i am using:{% if customer.typeform_score < 40 %} 40% {% elsif customer.typeform_score < 80 %} 80% {% else %} 100% {% endif %} I am using the builder. And the code is printed like this:   What am i doing wrong? Like you can see i tried in both normal text field and title. Neither works,

Can I have a trigger and goal as the same event?

HiI am trying to make a push notification campaign to remind users to perform a specific action every 5 hours.The initial trigger for the campaign is an Event → wait 5 hours → send push notification I need to exit the campaign in case the user performs the desired action before the 5 hour timer is up and restarts the campaign.I was trying to set up the goal as the event so that It can exit once the goal is achieved but the campaign never triggers since the goal and the trigger are the same event.Any ideas how I can set this beheviour up?I need to restart the campaign every time the event is triggered and exit early in case the timer has not completed.

I am probably doing it the wrong way. But when using code with large text size its ruining the overview within the editor. Is there a way to use code without this happening?

Newsletter - Multiple conditions

In broadcasts, is it possible to change the operator from “And” to “Or” to allow for choosing multiple segments that I want a broadcast (newsletter) sent to? For example, below I’d like to send this to the attribute condition “Website sign-up” as well as a message condition. With the operator as “And” it excludes anyone who doesn’t meet both conditions. I’d like the operator to be “Or” so I can include everyone who meets one of the conditions. Thank you!

ICS files automatically added to calendar by email client

We use transactional emails to send out calendar invites. Currently this is working as expected however there is a good UX improvement for the customer that involves setting custom headers so that the email client can be informed that the attachment is an ICS file and to automatically added it to the user’s calendar. In order to get the email client to parse correctly the attached .ics file, you should add the scheduling method and MIME information to the email headers. This is specified by the iCalendar Message-Based Interoperability Protocol (RFC 2447).For this reason, the email header should include Content-Type, Content-Transfer-Encoding and Content-Disposition as specified in the following example:Content-Type: text/calendar; charset=utf-8; method=REQUEST; name=invite.ics'Content-Transfer-Encoding: Base64Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=invite.ics Why does customer.io not support this? Use images with liquid? Is it possible?

I tried with an image block and placing the liquid code in the url bar such as {{customer.company_logo}}, when i try to save that it seems to be stripping out the code and doesnt save it. Also I tried to do it with custom html in this way “<img src=”customer.company_logo”>, this just display the tiny icon that shows when an image doesnt exist. I am 100% sure that the attribute is only containing the image url, so this is not the issue.  Please help.

Can you use API trigger values within action conditions of API-triggered broadcast's?

So what I’m trying to do is build an API-triggered broadcast, which for example sends this payload here upon triggering:{ "fruit":"apple"}I then want to trigger a message to all users who:Performed a specific event, let’s say “Buy fruit”. The “type” of the “Buy fruit” event matches the value of trigger.fruit.So in the end you would have something like: Is this possible within customer.io; or is there a better way to do this ? As an additional note, the actual usecase will consist in five different trigger attributes by which I aim to filter the recipients of the broadcast’s message, so using user segments is not an option, as this would in result in tons and tons of segments for all possible combinations of the five different fruit attributes (like the fruit’s type, size, date, expiry, and price, as an example). Thanks in advance for any help!

Using timestamp attribute

Hi!I want to send something (message, webhook, etc.) at a specific time according to the user’s attribute with a timestamp. Is it possible to set up such in the campaign workflow?For example, I have a lot of educational webinars at different times. And a lot of users registered on those. I want to use one workflow, but every user must get an email (or another platform webhook) at a particular time according to his webinar time.
