How would you do HMAC request signing before triggering a webhook ?
One of my providers protects webhook calls using HMAC based authentication.See here for details.It requires to compute a signin string before issuing the request.Can it be done ? (I need an external security library to compute the signin code) Can we use a variable that isn't necessarily a user property ?Note: this works great with Postman for instance.
Sending emails to users with two email addresses
Hi Customer.io helpers and experts! I have a question regarding multiple email addresses for a single person. In some cases, when a single user has two email addresses, one of them is either not active (they don’t use it), or bounces because it’s the wrong email address. Is it possible to create a rule in my campaign where if the first email fails or is not opened within X amount of days, then Customer.io would automatically try to send the message to their other email address? What’s the best way to accomplish this?
Enter user same campaign multiple times(without exiting)
Hi,I would like to know if users could enter a campaign multiple times after an event is triggered before actually exiting it.We have an scenario where we want to send a reminder after a payment is overdue. A few days after the first email is sent, we will send another one. A few more days, if the payment has not been resolved yet, we will send one last email. In principle this should not be a problem but in our case, a user could have different pending payments for different products and they should receive different emails and I am not completely sure how to implement this.Thank you in advance.
How to create segments?
Hi there, I’m just getting started and wondering how I can create segments via Customer.io. I now you do data-driven segments, but if it possible to combine a segment thats partially data-driven and partially manual? Any insight or advice into how I can start segmenting will be greatly appreciated! Thanks
I'm trying to divy out roles in my workspace. What is the difference between Admin, Workspace Manager, Author, and viewer? Does Admin have full access to view, edit, restrict, etc all workspaces? And Workspace Manager just has free reign to edit and change things within that specific workspace?
How can I manually add a contact into a segment?
We run a campaign in Customer.io that is triggered when a customer signs up for our app.We have a new type of user that we want to run a different campaign with, however.As of now, we need to manually identify when this new type of user signs up.My thinking is we can create a segment in customer.io for this new type of user so that we can exclude them from our main campaign. And add them to a new campaign.Is that the best way to achieve this?If so, how can I manually add an existing contact/user to a segment (so that they are excluded from campaign and added to another)?Thanks!
Creating specific A/B test splits
Is it possible to set up random samples into A/B tests to see which versions of an email are most effective? Let's say for example instead of doing an even 50/50 split, i want to do a 70/30 split? Will Customer.io automatically choose a winner after a set period of time based on performance?
Access Event Data when using a Segment as Campaign trigger
Hi,We have a question about using segments as campaign triggers and accessing event data inside messages. Currently, we are using segments as campaign triggers and have added a true/false condition in the workflow building. This condition allows us to choose whether a customer has performed a specific event. We would like to know if it is possible to access the event data inside the messages on the true path of this condition, when the event has been performed beforehand.We have discovered that this is possible when using the event trigger as a campaign trigger, where we have access to all the event data inside the workflow. However, we would like to access this feature when using a segment as a trigger and a condition to check if the event was performed before.We appreciate any guidance on this matter. How to check in builder that one in the sequence has been replied by the customer
I have 3 mails in sequence in the workflow.My use case is that if the customer replies on the first mail we should not send next 2 emails.So is there a way to check if a email has been replied by customer.and for more context between the mails there is some delay.Is there any alternate approach so that if user and replied to first mail we don’t the next 2 mails in the sequence. Thanks.
Creating campaign based on conditions
I am trying to create a campaign that is launched based on a condition set matching, as per instructions here: Verify deliverable email addresses with Kickbox | Customer.io DocsHowever, when i create a campaign in my instance there is no option to enter a campaign “when they meet a set of conditions”. Are the docs just outdated?
