Hi, in the past few days I have been trying to setup a workflow adding also the send out of whatsapp messages. Unfortunately nothing seem to work, even if the templates have been approved both by meta and twilio. I guess this might have something to do with the fact that Customerio still doesn’t support content templates from Twilio.
Does anyone know a workaround to trigger whatsapp messages in workflows?

have you seen this page in the docs? You will have to work with webhooks for now when using content templates.

A question: does the webhook need to be added before ANY whatsapp sendout in a campaign?

the webhook in this case IS the whatsapp sendout. The data ist pushed to Twilio and Twilio sends the whatsapp.
Once WhatsApp support is enabled on your Twilio account, create webhooks in campaigns or broadcasts to send Whatsapp messages made with Content Templates.
