The difference between sending events and adding people in our Setup Checklist

Problem

Our Setup Checklist guides you through all of the tasks you should consider in order to have a successful implementation with our tool. Sometimes, we see customers getting confused by the “Add Your People” check mark, as this includes more elements than simply uploading your database of profiles.

 

Solution

In cases like this, the checkmark is still greyed out since there hasn't been an integration configured to send events to CustomerIO:

That being said, you do not need to configure events in order to make your way through that checklist. Once you submit your verification request, we will review the details and once approved, that checklist should go away anyway 🙂
