Dynamic master email modules

Hello

In Salesforce marketing cloud I was able to create eDM ‘master modules' that could be featured in multiple emails, like for example a disclaimer module. It makes management a lot easier as I would only need to update one unique module that would be reflected in all emails that this ‘master module’ is featured instead of updating each email template.

Does customer.io have something similar to that?

Many tks!

Hi @bruna.duarte ,

You could consider using Snippets in Customer.io: https://customer.io/docs/journeys/snippets/

When you update an email snippet, all the emails that include the snippet would be automatically updated.

I hope this helps! :)

Many thanks, Penny

I’ll give it a try!
Unfortunately, it doesn't support email drag and drop for those unfamiliar with HTML. :( Hopefully, it’s something for near future improvement.

Cheers

Hey @bruna.duarte

In the drag-and-drop editor, there is an option to use Saved Rows - https://customer.io/docs/journeys/drag-and-drop/#save-rows, so you can easily repeat the content across different emails.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite support your goal at the moment where updating a saved row would allow it to automatically apply to all emails using it, you’d have to go into each email to select the updated saved row to edit it into your email but hopefully this does help to provide you with a quicker way for these changes in the meantime.

Thanks, Penny! I am aware of this feature. However the main goal is to build a ‘master’ module to be used across multiple templates and avoid having to update multiple templates when the contact needs to be changed.
