Multiple Goals Single Campaign

Hey there!

I’m working on an abandoned trial campaign. I’d like to track two discrete events from my email campaign:

  • How many users engage with the email and then start a trial within 7 days.
  • How many users engage with the email and then successfully convert within 3 weeks.

I see that I can set up “Or” filters for both criteria in the campaign goal, but I want to be able to report on these two metrics separately. I don’t want just one campaign goal that includes both of these filters. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Allison

Hi Allison,

In this case, you could consider using the “Or” filters for both criteria within the campaign goal, which would count either action as a conversion. Unfortunately, we’re unable to report on the conversions separately for each condition within the campaign itself.

As a workaround to report on each of the two metrics separately, you can create 2 different data-driven segments, one for each set of conditions, to track the number of people entering the segment for each set of criteria, which would provide a way for you report on these 2 metrics separately.

Hopefully this is helpful for you!

Hey Penny! Thanks for the reply! It sounds like segments are the way to go.
