How to inform a user every time an invoice is paid?

Hi,

We're a fintech service and we want to inform a user every time one of the invoices they issue a client had been paid. What's the best way to do this via Customer.io

Hi there,

Getting right into your question, it does sound like an event-triggered campaign would be right for your use case. When an invoice is paid, you'll want to send an event to CIO for the person associated with the invoice. Your event may need to include additional event attributes if you want to reference any information from the event in the message. You'll also want to allow each event to trigger the campaign using the frequency setting -- for an event-triggered campaign, this is enabled by default.
