Hi there, 

 

Was wondering if it is possible to send and receive SMS messages with our customers through Customer.io? We are currently using Twilio and wondering if we can activate this somehow.

Hello!

The SMS integration between Customer.io and is managed through Twilio and the default functionality is to send outgoing messages only.

It is possible to receive and reply to SMS through Twilio for 1:1 communications.

It’s also possible to send the reply data to customer into via a webhook from Twilio which could be captured in a webhook campaign to trigger certain automations via campaigns, but CIO isn’t designed to create 1:1 messages on the fly, like a rep typing a response.
