Messaging Limits on a rolling basis or by calendar?

Hi Customer.io! 

I have set a message limit of 2 messages per day in one of my workspaces. I have a person who got an email on Tuesday, and they were scheduled to get another email the next day, Wednesday, but it was undeliverable due to "sending delivery would exceed message limit". 

Are your messaging limits based off of a rolling basis or by calendar (or in this case, days)? Attached redacted screenshot for reference

Hi there,

Thanks for posting about this… it’s caught me off guard a couple of times too. 

I can confirm for you though - the limits are based on a 24 hour window rather than a calendar day which explains what you’re seeing here. 

A workaround would be to set the limit to 2 messages every 23 hours, which will help things line up with calendar days more closely. I know that’s not really a fix, but it’s a small life until the calendar day feature is available.
