We create users in Customer.io via a SPA form,which is invisible to the dataLayer. I would then like to identify these visitors when they subsequently navigate around the site, prior to them submitting a request (where we can again capture their email), as they may not do take this action.

Could I use the cio_id within the identify call, rather than another ID or email address?
