How to Send Campaigns on Specific Dates

When operating a campaign on our platform, you may encounter the need to send certain information based on a specific quarterly schedule. This is a unique request, as the platform does not have a direct built-in feature to address this need. However, there are several workarounds that can be applied to achieve your goal.



A user desired to disperse a campaign, titled 'Quarterly Low Spenders', on distinct dates throughout the year (April 1, July 1, and October 1). Each of these dates would trigger a different email from the campaign.



Unfortunately, we do not have a feature that would allow you to send a campaign quarterly on specific dates. However, we do have an open feature request related to this, and I have upvoted it on your behalf so that our product team knows that it would be useful to you.

That said, API-triggered broadcasts can be scheduled to send quarterly on specific dates. You can also trigger them on a particular date via the API.

If a broadcast won't work for you and are able to forgo the specific date, you can create a segment-triggered campaign and set the Frequency to a fixed interval of 13 weeks:

Then, within the workflow, you can add a "Time Window" to wait until a specific day and time:

Another option you could explore is creating a profile attribute such as "dateTrigger" that you can utilize to trigger a date-triggered campaign on a desired date. Then, within that date-triggered campaign, you can include a create or update person action to update the "dateTrigger" attribute to the next date of your choice. Within the create or update person action, you can use Liquid to update the "dateTrigger" attribute and set up your next date-triggered campaign.



While our platform may not directly cater to every unique demand, the flexibility and diverse functions it provides allows for tailored solutions to meet your campaign necessities.
